This was my love from the first sight when I saw Ferm Living stand last autumn. Scandinavian era with pastel colors, feminine flairs as we were used to is over. Time for moody, grown-up colors, natural materials and sculptural shapes (finally!)
Buy less, choose well and make it last.

Founded in 2006 by Trine Andersen, Ferm Living sees a huge success and starts the Scandinavian style as we were used to seeing – pastel accents, very simple and airy style furniture, and interior accessories. The debut was with wallpaper collection as she couldn’t find anything that could fit her needs. Being a graphic designer she created her own – signature wallpapers with geometric shapes, stripes, art deco inspiration. Later, wallpaper collections expanded with home accessories, light fixtures, and furniture.
Ferm LIVING created perfect catalog images and conquered Pinterest with their perfectly styled interiors. There was a point when all big brands copied “Scandinavian design” and it became too mainstream. That’s when Ferm LIVING changed their style to a more sophisticated and timeless. Good news, their furniture can be used in all style interiors and houses.
Ferm LIVING New Collection
As a big believer that the house does not become home only by filling it with furniture, Ferm LIVING has the same point of view. Home is more than a place you pin on a map or buying furniture you don’t love. It is not only about how good your home looks but also about how it feels.
Ferm LIVING new collection consists of soft forms, rich textures and deep colors, which allow you to create an authentic and composed atmosphere, while avant-garde shapes, striking patterns and curious details add a touch of the unexpected.
A good home to me may as well be the opposite to you. A home is personal, it is a collection of memories and the base for making new ones. A home is a dynamic and ever-changing concept.

THE HOME of Ferm Living in Copenhagen
That’s why in order to feel the idea of home, Ferm LIVING opened THE HOME in Copenhagen, a design apartment-showroom to showcase their pieces. I love the concept of showroom apartments because you can feel the brand and the style immediately. A great advantage of a showroom apartment is that the brand can change the scenography and showcase its products in real conditions. Because let’s be honest, ordinary showrooms are often dull and boring.
You’re a collage of everything you’ve ever experienced and everywhere you ever went. Your home is a mirror of you.
– Ferm LIVING
I absolutely love how the ceiling is used – painting it in a daring color is a must if you want to get the most of the space. It is the 5th wall and I absolutely recommend to do it for most of my interior design clients, especially those who ordered design services in older apartments.
