As you may have seen from Instagram posts, since I moved back to Lyon, France, I’m trying to appreciate this beautiful city. I used to live here in 2013 for 1 year and it’s so nice to come back. Mediterranean sea is 4 hours away, the Alps 2 hours away, and the city by itself is so rich in culture, food (Capital of the country is, of course, Paris, but capital of gastronomy is Lyon, it’s where Paul Bocuse was born, RIP), cultural, design events, cozy coffee and concept stores… You’d need lot’s of time to visit all the beautiful places if you decide to visit it.
I celebrated my 29th birthday at the end of February. I wanted to choose a nicely designed, cozy place to taste some food and cocktails. I chose Le MoMa, a stylish, trendy and beautifully designed restaurant, designed by the talented interior designer Eva Myard. Sorry for low-quality photos, I actually wasn’t thinking about doing a blog post, but I thought I’d needed to share this place with you. In real life, this place is really Instagram worthy place absolutely not to ignore while traveling in Lyon!
Timeless Cole&Son Wallpaper that I featured in one of my blog posts more than a year ago. Yes, I’m still in love with this print and it doesn’t matter it’s so trendy right now!
Midcentury modern leather sofas and industrial lighting creates English atmosphere which matches really well with natural stone walls which are quite present in most French boutiques and restaurants (you can see more stone walls and beautiful design here)
The food was very delicious. We’ve ordered some tapas – cheese assortment and some meat a la Francaise.
To my surprise, I was amazed by the staff’s way to present the birthday cake I bought elsewhere (Patisserie Pepin) was soooo delightful. They brought it on a decorated stone plate with words “Joyeux Anniversaire”. When I blew the candles, they took the cake away and delivered it in separate plates. It was a really warm and nice time of the evening to have such service.
